The challenge
The Museo de la Piedra Preciosa needed a new website, and the opportunity to build it went out to public bid. A strong visual proposal wasn't enough. The bid came with concrete technical requirements, including outstanding web performance, and winning meant competing against other applicants.

The solution
I built the site from scratch with React, TypeScript, and Firebase, treating technical performance as a priority from day one without sacrificing design. Beyond the informational site, I built a scheduling system for the museum to manage group visits with limited capacity by time and date something that used to be coordinated manually.

Key features
- Self-managed admin panel so the museum's team can update content without a developer
- Multi-language site (i18n) to welcome both local and international visitors
- Group visit scheduling system with limited capacity slots and a date/time calendar
- Ratings form for visitors to share feedback on their experience
- Self-managed image galleries

Result
The project was awarded through a public bid, validating both the proposal and the technical strength of the build. Today the museum runs a tool that goes well beyond an informational site: it manages its own group visits, updates content and galleries without outside help, and collects visitor feedback directly.
